in a time of the cherry blossoming
I was here, not wanderin' too far
followed my love
through meadows in lights
in a time of the cherry blossoming
the pianos rattled in bars
bringing the nights
a carpet of rhymes
in a time of the cherry blossoming
all the hills got covered with greens
beggars and kings
have took to the fields
in a time of the cherry blossoming

Honeycomb hometown
03:06
|
|
||
today my boots
have left their blues
shot my tomb
on a mundane afternoon
strangled sorrow with a spoon
we found 'em near
upon the fields
planting seeds
n' climbin' up the tall pine hills
filled with song
and a honeycomb
today our words
got dressed in blue
build a boat
said they gonna hit the coast
soon to leave our heads alone
we gave them suits
with winter hoods
a pressure-cook
bunch of records and some hooks
sang a couple goodbye tunes
at night your brush
quietly moved
behind the fumes
coloured green the dirty moon
erased the chimes
and turned to summertimes in bloom
to sketch the vines
of your honeycomb hometown
to capture light
on that honeycomb

Turn the page
01:10
|
|
||
people mostly spend their time
thinking 'bout them things to buy
I have bought just a shovel and a hat
now I'm wanderin' round this town
looking for some land
to build a garden in the pines
looking for some land to grow
looking for a friend
to share my visions and my hands
ridin' on the wave of change
Rome started from a thought
now I turn the page

Moonlight drive
02:36
|
|
||
you slowly start the engine
as the meadow calls us back
the city casts its shadows on the glass
it starts a conversation
yet it ends with more goodbyes
together we will build that wooden house
in our moon moonlight drive
moonlight drive
you slowly hush the engine
as we dwell into the pines
the forest casts its fables on our eyes
I start a conversation
soon you follow up with rhymes
tomorrow we will greet the rising sun
in our moonlight drive
moonlight drive
in our moonlight drive
with a moonlight tribe
that dreams through time

Gates of May
03:09
|
|
||
it's time to leave your doubts on the meadow grass
prepare the stations of your heart for good days to come
prepare the mansions of your mind for light
clear your path from the weeds and frozen clocks
clear the ocean with one tide of trust
the pines quietly told me you're a friendly kind
and now they sing we'll meet again near the gates of May
'til that mornin' I hope you shape yourself
until that morning don't you break or shake
all good things need faith

Northern lane
03:07
|
|
||
up until tomorrow
I ain't gonna wait
I pack every sorrow
and run right away where it takes my legs
see your little face
on the northern lane
I've been to big Paris
and small caves of Spain
Manchester was funny
with miss Mary Jane yet she brought me rain
I took too much honey
had to send it away
today or tomorrow
their bubble will break
bring me a shovel
along with a piece of this northern land
until that unravels
my songs have a place on a sleeping train

segregation, indignation...
never put you hands in the war
in the name of gods and nations
never put your hands in the war
radio stations send their rage out
far towards you peaceful door
yet it's your only obligation
never to put your hands in the war
declamation, agitation...
never put your hands in the war
war is lake of deprivation
never put your hands in the war
an' even if they call you lazy
in the name of love don't go
throw some daisies on the navy
draw a heart upon their saw
and never put your hands in the war

Call the war thing off
04:31
|
|
||
they say the ocean's filled with oil leaks and junk
they say it's getting warm due to carbon dioxide
they say the ice will melt and there's gonna be a flood
so do you really need a war on top of that?
they say the river's dry and the forest's almost dead
they say the governments lie yet they do it for a pay
the dirty companies send all their poisons to the lake
so do you really need a tank on top of that cake?
they say the war is far yet the war is at the heart
it's time to realize we're not meant to be apart
it's time to synchronize with our Mother Nature's path
then we will never need a flag to remind us who we love
some say that god is Christ and he has to wear that cross
some say that god is Allah from the scriptures of Koran
I say that god is all love and the river of good vibe
but do you really need a bang blowing up a crowded bus
in the name of books you trust?
today the one true god has made me write this down
I got offended and mad cause it made me feel like pawn
I wouldn't trade no pain for a single broken rhyme
I wish they wouldn't need a song to call the whole thing off

Dollar on the moon
01:36
|
|
||
wait
don't you follow all of it darlin'
won't you stop for a moment or two
to question old economy high heels
that are leading people through fumes
the west
must we follow all of it darlin'
the industrial abuse
it's time to fill this world with gardens
'cause what's a dollar worth on the moon?

Full circle
01:36
|
|
||
full circle has been on my mind
quite a while now I'm chasing this rhyme
holdin' on to signs
full circle has been on my mind
we leave this town so I can see you in the garden
through the open lot
smilin' in the sun
full circle has been on my mind
quite a while now I'm singin' this rhyme
quite a while now I'm singin' this rhyme
