you left in the mornin' but didn't say a word you took all your money from all your Sunday shoes and left in the morning it was hard to face the news you cut off all your roots and headed for that highway now I play the nighttime blues you left in the mornin' but didn't say a thing you just took all your money and all your precious diamond rings you took your old hat and gone to spread your wings you told me 'bout the spring and headed for that station now I talk to patient strings and sing my song and drink my 4th warm beer
2.
Indian summer I hear your call I'm on my way to the ocean Indian summer I hear your callin' I'm on my way to the sea it's been a long time it's been a long winter I've been waitin' in the snow now I'm ready to ramble on now I'm ready to be born Indian circle I heared your tune I'm on my way to the orchard cattle is whispering, the ground is warm I'm on my way through the leaves apples are rollin' to gather at our feet cotton's pullin' down the moon the ancient river takes my load guess I'm ready for to bloom
3.
Moonchild 03:43
straight to the ocean I could run away from the rhythm of the chimes the waves could be bringing me the rhymes but that's not that easy now, moonchild the sun's quietly taking off her crown the rain slowly drippin' down my arms before hazy winter takes me south let's run through the meadow wild moonchild or lay down don't you worry I won't touch straight to the ocean I could run away from the rhythm of this town your hands could be bringing me the wine but that's not that easy now, moonchild but that's not that easy now my friends all got dizzy by the could the days got the lotion of a gun to play on the street became a crime I guess I'll be headin' for the pines back to the garden for the time

come into the wild and meet your tribe deep in the pines go light your fire run far from their runs and from their guns place your old bed among the plants
5.
here comes my Queen of Violet she holds her head in heaven's songs upon the hill she anchored into my dream her river flows out on the field she rambled among the leaves we traveled along the stream untangled forever more forever more here comes my Queen of Violet she throws my head in heaven's songs
6.
how would the moon shine without the sun come tell me my love and how would the sun know it's still there without the moon and without the people that stare how would the moon shine without the night come tell me my child and how would the night know it's still there without the moon and without the morning that waits
7.
Indian tribe 02:39
Indian brothers told me to trust the wind Indian mother told me to wipe her tears Indian child told me to loose my fear enter the sea of leaves Indian lovers told me to dance and sing Indian mother told me to feel the trees Indian sun told me to leave my gun and into the sea just run, free Indian fathers told me to greet the fields Indian mother told me to breed my dreams Indian tribe told me to beat my drum enter the sea of lights

the summer has brought the fun meadows and kites autumn arrived at night with blackberry wine winter conveys the rhymes on tambourine wheels and soon we'll be up to sing 'cause here comes the spring

about

"Queen of Violet" is a musical kaleidoscope, a peaceful journey through the colourful autumn leaves and the pure whiteness of the winter season towards a brand new cycle - blooming of the spring and the fanfares of a forthcoming "Indian summer". With quite a few miniature songs, which sometimes are even shorter then two minutes, "Queen (...)" is a bit of a bow to the 60's musical style, where songwriters didn't always force themselves to unnaturally extend all ideas to fit the current fashionable track length, but did that only when their tunes "asked for it". Most of the lyrics are deeply connected with the ever-spinning wheel of change, which always delivers the contrasting - nights and days, winter and spring, the sun and the moon. The unique mood of the album is achieved mainly through the use of a few mysterious guitar tunings, which add a slightly courtly, somewhat medieval feel to the songs.
